Welcome to my blog and thank you for reading.  I am extremely humbled that you would take your time to read my thoughts.  This blog will be used to post dental information, knowledge and suggestions.  My hope is to inform our community so that you, the individual, can have the information needed to improve your oral health.
Every year we learn more and more of the connection between Oral and Overall health.  I challenge you and all readers to take a moment and just realize that your mouth (the entry way into your body) has a significant impact on your health.  It has been long known by the dental profession that those who keep their teeth live longer than those who have them removed.  A quick fact from the Oral Health Foundation states, "a study found that people who have a full set of teeth when they are 74 years old are significantly more likely to reach the age of 100."
If you are already missing teeth, there still is hope.  Restoring missing teeth with a dental implant significantly improves your quality and duration of life.  Those without the proper number of teeth have a tougher time chewing their food completely, causing indigestion, gastric reflux (GERD), sour stomach, ineffective digestion leading to ulcers, etc.
Thanks again for reading and I hope to dive deeper into these topics and more in my upcoming posts.  Wishing everyone a long and fruitful life!
